Today, Meghan Trainor pulled back the curtain of what is to come on her third studio album with the release of lead single, “No Excuses“. The single is available now via Epic Records. Or you can hear it by streaming the video compliments of Vevo.

Co-written with JKash and produced by Andrew Wells, “No Excuses” resonates Trainor’s usual sass, punctuated with lyrics that remind you, “Your mama raised you better than that.”

Megan said of the single, “I love how so many women are standing up for what’s right.” Adding, “I wanted to write us all a powerful anthem. Sometimes, people talk down to me, because I’ve only been doing this for four years. So I wrote this song. It’s my modern version of ‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T.’ It’s all about equality and being kind.”

The title of her forthcoming album has not been disclosed nor the date we can anticipate its release. But it is promised to be “coming soon”. For now Trainor fans have “No Excuses” to whet appetites!
